2013 Miami Dolphins NFL Draft: 1st Round Predictions

With the NFL Draft less than two weeks away, who do YOU want the Dolphins to Draft in the 1st Round?

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

It's hard to believe that the NFL Draft is less than two weeks away. I say that because I have absolutely no idea who Jeff Ireland will draft in the first round. At this stage of the process last year, I had a pretty good feeling that Ryan Tannehill would be a Dolphin. The same could be said the year before with Mike Pouncey. But this year, there doesn't seem to be a general consensus on who the pick will be.

That brings me to the point of this article: what position would you like the Dolphins to target?

The latest position I personally would like to see the Dolphins target is tight end. I'm starting to get the feeling that Tyler Eifert could really be a difference maker in this offense. Joe Philbin could plug him into the starting line up, and he would be ready to go from day one.

But what about some other positions?

Picking a corner in the first is still a likely scenario. If Dee Milliner drops to twelve, it would be tough to pass him up. Xavier Rhodes and Desmond Trufant are other options, although it appears they may be slight reaches at number twelve.

Or will it be a safety? Kenny Vaccarro would be an immediate upgrade over Chris Clemons.

Offensive line could also be an option. If Ireland wants one of the top three tackles, it looks like he will have to trade up to take one. However, don't discount Ireland from picking a guy like Jonathan Cooper, providing he makes it to twelve.

Many on the site would also like to see Tavon Austin come to Miami, despite the recent additions made during free agency at the wide receiver position. Austin would be fun to watch, and is the sort of player that may get some more fans coming back to the stadium, with his added entertainment value.

And lastly, but certainly not least, is defensive end. Ezekiel Ansah could be a an exciting addition and will be helped considerably by playing opposite seasoned veteran Cameron Wake.

So now it's over to you. Which position would you like the Dolphins to target in the first round? Please vote below, and feel free to specify the players you like in the comments section.
