The NFL announced earlier today that the two teams that have been chosen to face off in the annual Hall Of Fame Game in Canton would be the Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys. The annual game is held the Sunday following the Saturday of the induction ceremony. This years game is scheduled for Sunday, August 4th.
Miami had played in the annual contest three previous times taking losses in each meeting. The last trip to Canton for the team was in 2005 when they were beaten by the Chicago Bears.
This years HOF ceremony has enshrinees that represent both teams. Bill Parcells, of course, spent time with the Cowboys as a head coach and the Dolphins as head of football operations. Guard Larry Allen played for the Cowboys from 1994 to 2005. Wide receiver Chris Carter who is most known for his time with the Minnesota Vikings began his playing career with the Philadelphia Eagles and ended it with his final season, 2002, with the Miami Dolphins.
Other members of the 2013 class are Jonathan Ogden, Curley Culp, Dave Robison and former University of Miami star Warren Sapp.
