While some teams are purging their rosters this week, cutting players to gain room under the salary cap, the Miami Dolphins are sitting on top of a pile of cash with a ton of draft picks for this year's NFL Draft. The team has several needs, but looks to be in a position where they can find answers to fill those needs.
Most fans and media will say the Dolphins' top need this offseason is wide receiver. The team utilized Brian Hartline (a free agent this offseason) and Davone Bess as their top two wide outs all year. After that, it was a mismatch of players all trying to be the third wide receiver, and no one really wanted to step up and claim it.
But, what is the second biggest need for the Dolphins? Is it a pass rusher to play opposite Cameron Wake? Is it a cornerback (or two)? Maybe it's the seam threatening tight end. Or do they have to shore up an offensive line that may be without 2008 first overall pick Jake Long?
