MNF Live Thread: Cowboys @ Bears Edition

The Cowboys travel to the windy city this evening to take on the Bears. Please join us here to discuss the Monday night game and of course yesterdays Dolphins win over the Steelers.

The Dallas Cowboys (7-5) travel to Chicago to take on the Bears (6-6) this evening. Following the Eagles win over the Lions yesterday the Cowboys need to secure a win to keep pace in the NFC East. The Cowboys and Eagles will play on the final weekend of the season in a game that will most likely be for all the NFC East marbles. While the Cowboys are seemingly headed up the Bears have gone south since the loss of starting quarterback Jay Cutler. The Cowboys have won 3 of their last 4. The Bears on the other hand have dropped 3 of their last 4 despite the more then adequate play of back up quarteback Josh McCown who has posted a 103.8 QB rating in the last three games. Despite their late season slide the Bears can tie the Lions for the divisional lead with a win over the Cowboys.

McCown could be in for another nice game as the Cowboys are giving up an average of 294.9 yards per game placing them at 31st in the NFL. Dallas hopes to get a boost on defense with the return of linebacker Sean Lee. The Bears on the other hand are middle of the pack against the passing game but lead the NFL with 15 picks. In the last game against the Cowboys a year ago October, the Bears picked off Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo a career high five times. They are also in the basement as far as rushing defense giving up an average of 153.6 yards a game on the ground and and average of 205.2 yards in the last six games.
