Richie Incognito's stay on the Miami Dolphins' suspended list will now last through the end of this season.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport on Sunday broke the news of Incognito's extension on the team's suspended list. The Dolphins on Monday issued a release stating that the team and Incognito have "agreed to maintain his suspension during the ongoing NFL investigation."
Incognito was suspended indefinitely on Nov. 3 for conduct detrimental to the team following the release of a voicemail in which Incognito directed a racial slur and threats of violence toward teammate Jonathan Martin. As a result, the league is investigating the Miami Dolphins' workplace.
According to NFL.com's Jeff Darlington, the agreement between the Dolphins and Incognito stipulates that he will be paid throughout the playoffs should the team advance.
