The Miami Dolphins beat the Cincinnati Bengals tonight on the Thursday Night Football kickoff for the NFL's Week 9 schedule. The game went into overtime before Cameron Wake sacked Andy Dalton for the third time on the night, this time in the endzone for the game winning safety. However, it's other news that may be the bigger loss for the Bengals.
Defensive tackle Geno Atkins appears to be lost for the season with an ACL injury. NFL.com's Michael Silver tweeted that the injury is a torn ACL, although Bengals coach Marvin Lewis only confirmed it as an ACL "injury." More tests are expected, though the worst is assumed at this point.
That's a huge loss for the AFC North leading Bengals who will struggle to replace him with someone who has a fraction of the talent of Atkins.
