The Miami Dolphins took the lead on the New England Patriots early in the first quarter thanks to a beautiful play from quarterback Ryan Tannehill to receiver Brandon Gibson. Now, however, it appears Gibson may have been injured a few plays later.
The Dolphins were driving down the field on their next possession after the touchdown when Tannehill again targeted Gibson. However, the throw was high and Gibson awkwardly jumped for the ball. He immediately turned to look at his left knee, then limped off the field. As he got to the sideline, he slammed down his helmet and got on the trainers table.
He was then carted to the locker room.
Gibson's been officially reported as doubtful to return by the team.
