The Packers enter tonight hoping to stay at the top of their division and one of the top teams in the NFL record wise at 4 and 2 while the Vikings hope to crawl out of the basement of both with a record of 1 and 5. The Packers enter tonight's contest highly favored despite the fact that in the previous 21 head to head meeting 16 of the games were decided by 7 or fewer points.
For the Vikings the shuffle though quarterbacks continues. Quarterback Christian Ponder will return to the starting lineup this week following a concussion to recently acquired and former Buccaneers quarterback, Josh Freeman. Their only stalwart on offense, starting running back Adrian Peterson has struggled this season, fighting through injuries and having to deal with very poor line play up till now (Sound familiar?).
The Packers are in better hands with the always steady and solid starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is dealing with a carousel of his own as many of his primary targets have been sidelined. Of course, as usual this has been no problem for the Packers as new players seem to emerge as potential starters or stars for them each week. Wide out Jerrett Boykin is coming off a 8 catch 103 yard performance for the Packers.
