Dannell Ellerbe injury lands him on inactive list; Full inactives for Bills vs Dolphins

With the Miami Dolphins hosting the Buffalo Bills in less than 90 minutes, the teams have released their inactive players list. The Dolphins listed starting middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe as inactive this week.

The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills have released their respective inactive players list ahead of their 1pm ET game.  For Miami, that includes starting linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.

Ellerbe injured his shoulder the last time the Dolphins were on the field, in Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens. He has not been practicing throughout the week, and he was listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report for Miami.  The Dolphins, in releasing their inactives list, also reported that Nolan Carroll will start in place of Dimitri Patterson, despite Patterson being active today.  The veteran cornerback has not been able to place since a two interception performance against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 due to a groin injury, but does appear ready to return today - although not to the starting line up.

The Dolphins also have the newly promoted defensive tackle, Isaako Aaitui, active today.

Bills:

  • Brandon Burton, defensive back
  • Matt Flynn, quarterback
  • E.J. Manuel, quarterback
  • Antoine McClain, guard
  • Ty Powell, linebacker
  • Justin Rogers, cornerback
  • Brandon Smith, defensive back

Dolphins:

  • Will Davis, cornerback
  • Pat Devlin, quarterback
  • Dannell Ellerbe, linebacker
  • Michael Gillislee, running back
  • Josh Kaddu, linebacker
  • Dallas Thomas, guard
  • Danny Watkins, guard
