NFL Draft 2013: Mike Mayock Top 5 By Position

The NFL Scouting Combine starts later this week, with draft hopefuls converging on Indianapolis in hope that their performance while running around in their underwear will raise their draft stock. Before the coaches, scouts, and general managers get their hands on the prospects, NFL Network's Mike Mayock has ranked his top five players at each position.

The NFL Scouting Combine kicks off this weekend, with the first groups of players starting the meat market process on Saturday. While the combine, and the subsequent pro days, will cause players to jump up draft boards, or see their draft stock fall, that draft board has to already be established before the combine starts.

NFL Network's Mike Mayock has done just that, building a pre-Combine draft board. Over the weekend, Mayock ranked the top five players at each position, Looking at the Miami Dolphins' needs, here is how Mayock ranks the players at those positions:

Wide Receiver:

  1. Cordarrelle Patterson, Tennessee
  2. Keenan Allen, California
  3. Terrance Williams, Baylor
  4. Tavon Austin, West Virginia
  5. Quinton Patton, Louisiana Tech

Tight End:

  1. Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame
  2. Zach Ertz, Stanford
  3. Gavin Escobar, San Diego State
  4. Travis Kelce, Cincinnati
  5. Jordan Reed, Florida

Tackle:

  1. Luke Joeckel, Texas A&M
  2. Eric Fisher, Central Michigan
  3. Lane Johnson, Oklahoma
  4. D.J. Fluker, Alabama
  5. Menelik Watson, Florida State / Justin Pugh, Syracuse

Defensive End:

  1. Bjoern Werner, Florida State
  2. Damontre Moore, Texas A&M
  3. Ezekiel Ansah, BYU
  4. Sam Montgomery, LSU
  5. Datone Jones, UCLA / Margus Hunt, SMU

Cornerback:

  1. Dee Milliner, Alabama
