Earlier today, the Miami Dolphins released their second depth chart of the preseason. This one is ahead of the team's game against the Carolina Panther on Friday. We've already looked at the offensive side of the ball, so now it's time to look at the defense and special teams.
The defense looks exactly the same as last week, highlighted by the Dolphins still listing rookies as the second string defensive ends on both sides of the line. Basically, they are continuing to bury Jamal Westerman on the depth chart.
As for special teams, the only change was placing Rishard Matthews as the second punt returner, dropping Marcus Thigpen and Clyde Gates down the depth chart after the latter two did not dress last week. However, Matthews may have earned the second position himself after strong returns last week.
The defense and special teams depth chart is below.

Quick Reactions: None. No real change to the depth chart this week/.
What are your reactions to the defensive depth chart? Is it more surprising than the offensive side of the ball?
And, again, this is the just the second depth chart of the preseason, and really only gives us a snapshot in time of what the final depth chart could look like. But's it's enough to get us talking, right?
