Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested for domestic violence on Saturday night.

Looks like the honeymoon is over. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested on Saturday for domestic violence against his newlywed wife Evelyn Lozada. According to the reports, Johnson and his wife, who were married on July 4, were engaged in an argument in their car, when Johnson allegedly head butted her.

A police source told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that, upon their arrival, there were lacerations on Lozada's forehead and Johnson was arrested.

Johnson started Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was only targeted one time, dropping it and killing an early drive by quarterback Matt Moore.

This is the first time Johnson has been arrested since entering the league twelve seasons ago, though he was arrested in college for a domestic dispute incident.

Currently, the Dolphins have 12 wide receivers on their roster, with Johnson listed as a starter alongside Legedu Naanee and Davone Bess. The team has shown a desire to have no drama-causing players in the locker room. They traded diva wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who has a long history of being a disruption and arrests, this offseason.

The Dolphins are currently starring in HBO's Hard Knocks. The fallout of Johnson's arrest will be an additional storyline for the show.
