Isn't it pretty? It's the first live thread of the 2012 Miami Dolphins season. Who cares if it's preseason - it's still a live thread, right? It's posted, and it counts!
Today has been a day full of news for the Dolphins, even before the game. Obviously, the biggest news was David Garrard's surgery. Personally, I think this means Ryan Tannehill will be the starter in Week 1, because if it's even close between him and Matt Moore, the rookie should get the nod. Of course, the seriousness of Garrard's knee surgery hasn't been released, so he could come back and reclaim the spot, or Moore could be lights out in the first two preseason games, but my guess right now is Tannehill has the job - even if Moore starts tonight.
QB Matt Moore will start for the injured David Garrard tonight against Tampa Bay.

The team also announced today that Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor and Bill Arnsparger will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor. Thomas and Taylor will be inducted, rightly together, on October 14. Arnsparger will be honored during the team's celebration of the 1972 Perfect Season on December 16.
But, even with all the news, the real focal point today is Miami Dolphins football! That's right. The Dolphins are on the field in Sun Life Stadium - a field that, for the first time since 1993, has no baseball infield in it.
