Miami Dolphins All Time Depth Chart - Guard #3

Continuing our look at, and vote for, the All Time Miami Dolphins Depth Chart, we move now to the third guard position. The starting guard position went to Hall of Fame player Larry Little. The second slot on the depth chart was awarded to Little's teammate, Bob Kuechenberg.

Besides Litthe, Kuechenberg was a member of the same offensive line as Hall of Fame inductees center Jim Langer and tackle Dwight Stephenson. Drafted in the fourth round in 1969, Kuechenberg quit training camp with the Philadelphia Eagles, choosing to spent the 1969 season with the semi-pro Chicago Owls. He then signed as a free agent with the Dolphins, establishing himself as the starting left guard for the team. Kuechenberg was selected to six Pro Bowls over his career (1974, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1982, and 1983), as well as two First Team All-Pro selections (1975, 1978). Kuechenberg was also a member of the two Super Bowl Championships for the Dolphins. He was inducted into the Dolphins Ring of Honor in 1995, and has been a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame eight times (2002-2009), but has never been selected.
