Steve Slaton is one of eight free agents to re-sign with the Miami Dolphins this year.

It's been a while since we last took a look at the Miami Dolphins free agents for 2012. This will review each of the free agents the Dolphins had after the end of the 2011 season, and where they have signed, if they have signed.

Here are the 20 Miami Dolphins free agents, to include players released, as of May 10, 2012:

Re-Signed With the Dolphins: Ryan Baker, Will Barker, Ray Feinga, Jeron Mastrud, Lydon Murtha, Steve Slaton, Paul Soliai, Austin Spitler

Signed Elsewhere: Will Allen (New England Patriots), Marc Colombo (Dallas Cowboys - retired), Chad Henne (Jacksonville Jaguars), Lex Hilliard (Minnesota Vikings), Kendall Langford (St. Louis Rams), Marvin Mitchell (Minnesota Vikings)

Still Available: Ikaika Alama-Francis, Yeremiah Bell (Released), Vernon Carey, J.P. Losman, Richard Medlin (Waived), Phillip Merling (Released)

While it's not likely, of the players still available, I could see the Dolphins bringing back some combination of Alama-franci, Bell, and/or Carey. Alama-Francis is only 27, and could provide depth at the linebacker positions if someone on the team doesn't pan out. Bell and Carey are both veterans on the down-side of their career, but could provide depth and leadership at their positions. Either or both could return to the team if they come cheaply.
