Well after three days of following the draft that somehow seemed like a week the overall feeling around here seems to have changed for many. Some are more positive then ever. Some are still not buying any of it and certainly not Ireland or any move that he is involved in or is behind. Some are still skeptical and are taking their usual wait and see stance on things. Other's it seems have taken a surprising turn 180 degree and are now applauding Jeff Ireland's draft haul after railing for his dismissal from the team all together.
As for me the draft did not go as I would have drawn it up but I am still satisfied. It seems as if the FO followed their plan and their board filling both needs and finding value in the late rounds with players who carried higher draft grades then where they were finally selected. Ireland has shown in the past that the late rounds are where he seems to do some of his best work so I have some hope for the later picks. Of course with any draft the proof of success is based on the top two or three picks. If those pan out, especially our new starting quarterback, then this draft will be ultimately deemed a success by most.
So my simple question is what are your overall feelings on this team and specifically the front office vs. where you were say a month ago? Have you maintained the same stance from then to now? Are you still in a wait and see mode? Are you more upset with them then you were before? Has Ireland and Ross and the rest of the front office shown you something with this draft and now you think you might be coming around to being a fan? Are you all in on this front office now or just like you have always been?
