How Will This Player Fit: Jonathan Martin

The Miami Dolphins have just solidified their offensive line for the foreseeable future.
The Miami Dolphins have just solidified their offensive line for the foreseeable future.

The Miami Dolphins had to suffer through the Colombo era watching their QBs get sacked over and over again to the tune of 50+ sacks in 2011. Thankfully, those days appear to be over. In 2008, the Dolphins selected what became one of the top two LTs in the league with Jake Long. In 2012, they draft the bookend OT to keep their shiny new franchise QB upright. He's dominant in the run game and will open rushing lanes for Bush and Thomas. He's got the athleticism and footwork to lock up edge rushers in the passing game, which we need in a division that is getting better in the pass rushing department. He's a smart player who will continue to improve and anchor the line in the future.

THIS SEASON:

Martin is a STEAL for the Dolphins in the second round. He will immediately start at RT for the Dolphins. He can also play LT if Jake Long gets hurt again and the drop-off shouldn't be that much. The Dolphins have solidified their O-line for the future which will make most fans breathe a sigh of relief.
