The Miami Dolphins have signed ree agent wide receiver Legedu Naanee to a one year contract, according to his agent The Dolphins hosted Naanee for a visit yesterday at the team facilities in Davie, Florida. Nanee has played five seasons in the NFL, catching 107 passes for 1,213 yards, with four touchdowns.
Nannee was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 5th round of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Boise State. He spent the 2007-2010 seasons with the Chargers before signing as a free agent last year with the Carolina Panthers.
Naanee is a 6', 2", 220 lbs. wide receiver who has spent most of his career as a number three or four option. Naanee is not expected to be a replacement for former Dolphins number one receiver Brandon Marshall, who was traded to the Chicago Bears this offseason, but would provide depth and challenge for roster position.
The Dolphins could be looking for a wide receiver in the draft to solidify the number one option.
