2013 Super Bowl XLVII Odds

That's right, the NFL season ended last night with the New York Giants defeating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, and already, the odds for Super Bowl XLVII Champions have been released. Currently, the Green Bay Packers are sitting as the favorites, with 6:1 odds, according to www.Bovada.lv.

After the Packers come the New England Patriots at 7:1, then the New Orleans Saints, 8:1. The newly minted Super Bowl Champion Giants are eighth, with 15:1 chances to repeat.

The Miami Dolphins, meanwhile, come in at 17th, with 35:1 odds. However, the impending free agency, specifically Peyton Manning, who is expected to be released in the coming weeks by the Indianapolis Colts, can, and will, drastically change the odds.

"With Peyton Manning's situation it has made setting next year's Super Bowl Odds very difficult and a reason you will see teams like Arizona and Miami at lower odds than what they would be in case Manning signs there," explains Kevin Bradley, Bovada.lv Sportsbook Manager. "As for the Colts, even though there is a slim chance he stays they are at 50-1 but if he does leave will shoot up to around 100-1 and if stays would drop down to around 15-1, just goes to show the importance of a guy like Peyton."

The longest of the long shots for the Super Bowl XLVII Championship are the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars, who both come in with 100:1 odds.
