While all NFL eyes are on Indianapolis for the second time this month, with the NFL Scouting Combine kicking off this week, one person is notably absent from Indy. According to an report in The Miami Herald today, that's because Peyton Manning is in Miami.
Manning was seen, according to Miami Herald reporter Armando Slaguero, working out with Indianapolis Colts teammate, and former Miami Hurricanes wide receiver, Reggie Wayne. Salguero also reports that Pierre Garcon is expected to join the two players in South Beach, where Manning owns a condo.
Does any of this mean Manning is headed to the Miami Dolphins? Of course not. But, it can't hurt that Manning likes the south Florida weather, and would spend his offseason there.
But it does mean, Manning isn't meeting with Colts owner Jim Irsay, which is the next, expected step, in the will-they-or-won't-they release Manning drama in Indy right now. Manning is due a $28 million bonus on March 8 if the Colts do not release him.
Either way, at least today, Peyton Manning is in Miami.
