The 2012 NFL Scouting Combine kicks off today, with Groups 1 (Place Kickers, Special Teams, Offensive Linemen), Group 2 (Offensive linemen), and Group 3 (Tight Ends) reporting to Indianapolis. Each player will then register, conduct pre-medical exams and x-rays, receive an orientation, and begin the interview process.
Over the next seven days, 328 players will be poked, proded, run, and questioned, all with the hope of being one of the 224 players to be drafted by an NFL team in April (that number will change as compensatory picks are awarded - last year, 254 players were drafted).
