College football's top award comes down to three players when the Heisman Trophy is awarded tonight. Will it go to a freshman for the first time, Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel? Could a defensive only player win it for the first time, Notre Dame's Manti Te'o? Or could a Kansas State player claim the trophy for the first time, Collin Klein?
The odds on favorite tonight is Manziel, who stepped in to replace the Miami Dolphins' rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill at Texas A&M this year, leading them to a 6-2 conference record in their first year in the SEC.
Meanwhile, Te'o was the soul of the Irish undefeated season and BCS Championship Game berth. Kansas State, behind Klein's play under center, went 11-1 on the season, claiming a position in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl against Oregon next month.
