An AFC East Review: Week 13

Each week we take a look around at the other AFC East games. Let's take a look to see what the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and New York Jets did.

Al Bello

Let's take a look at what the other AFC East teams did this weekend:

BUFFALO BILLS

The Buffalo Bills won this weekend as they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 34 -18.

Although the stats don't show it, Ryan Fitzpatrick had an effective day. He wen 9/17, 112 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He also had a touchdown run at the goal line.

The Bills relied on their run game more. Fred Jackson had 25 rushes for 109 yards but no score. His counterpart, C.J. Spiller, ran 14 times for 77 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Bills star wide receiver, Stevie Johnson, recorded a touchdown before leaving the game in the third quarter. Tight end, Scott Chandler, continues to build on a good season. Although he only had one catch, which was a touchdown, there's no doubt he is an obvious redzone target.

The Bills take on the St. Louis Rams next weekend.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Well, we know how this game ended. The New England Patriots beat the Miami Dolphins 23 - 16.

Tom Brady did not look like the star player we've know for years. He was missing on throws that he normally connects on and his deep ball just wasn't there. Brady went 24/40, 238 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.

The running backs found little success during the game. That is until the final drive of the game where the Patriots were just running the ball down the Dolphins throat. Steven Ridley ran 19 times for 71 yards and recorded a touchdown. Danny Woodhead had 6 rushes for 24 yards.

Wes Welker had a great day. 12 catches, 103 yards, and 1 touchdown. He dropped a potential touchdown in the endzone. Aaron Hernandez filled in for Rob Gronkowski, who was out with an injury. Hernandez dropped 2 passes at the beginning but came back strong throughout the rest of the game. He recorded 8 catches for 91 yards.

The Patriots clinched the AFC East with their win over the Dolphins. They play the Houston Texans next week, a must watch game.

NEW YORK JETS

The New York Jets defeated the Arizona Cardinals 7 - 6.

Mark Sanchez had an MVP performance. Mark Sanchez was terrible. His first attempt was intercepted and recorded 3 interceptions. That's not all, Sanchez was benched. BRING ON TEBOW! But before being benched, Sanchez went 10/27 for 97 yards. Greg McElroy came in and went 5/7, 29 yards, and recorded his first professional touchdown.

On the bright side, Shonn Greene rushed for 104 yards on 24 attempts. The lone star on the Jets team during the game.

Rookie receiver, Stephen Hill recorded 5 receptions for 40 yards. Jeff Cumberland had 2 catches for 25 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets take on the Jacksonville Jaguars next week.
