The Miami Dolphins lead the Jacksonville Jaguars 10-3 at the half. The two teams traded field goals in the first period before a touchdown pass from rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill to rookie fullback Jorvorskie Lane, both from Texas A&M, with 1:57 left in the half.

Tannehill is 10-for-14 passing on the day, for 79 yards, the touchdown, and a passer rating of 108.9. He has a sack and lost fumble as well.

The running game has struggled to find running space early, though they started to get going during the touchdown drive. Reggie Bush has eight carries for 25 yards, while Tannehill has carries three times for nine yards.

Tannehill has been forced to spread the ball around today in the passing game, as the Jaguars have effectively double teamed Brian Hartline all half. Anthony Fasano and Rishard Matthews each have two catches, Fasano for 19 yards and Matthews for 18 yards. Running back Marcus Thigpen, who has been lining up in the slot today with Davone Bess out, has one reception for 15 yards.

Lane has two receptions for six yards, including the four yard touchdown catch.

On the other side, Chad Henne, Miami's former starting quarterback who joined the Jaguars this season, is 9-for-15 for 96 yards, a 78.8 passer rating. Running back Montell Owens has five carries for 24 yards, while receivers Justin Blackmon has 43 yards on two catches and Cecil Shorts III has three receptions for 42 yards.

The Dolphins defense has sacked Henne twice already, once from linebacker Kevin Burnett and once by defensive end Jared Odrick.

Miami has seen a rash of injuries in the first half, with Sean Smith, Kevin Burnett, Nolan Carroll, Charles Clay, and Chris Clemons all being shaken up at some point. Carroll and Clay are yet to return; Clay is on the sideline with an ice pack on his right knee and is likely done for the day.

The Dolphins will receive the ball to start the second half.
