The Miami Dolphins dropped their second straight game this past weekend, losing to the San Francisco 49ers 27-13. The game was disappointing on many levels, especially when it came to the fourth quarter, and the Dolphins had a chance to remain in the game, if not win it, only to let it slip away.
However, here on the Phinsider, we still take a look at the top individual performances for the Dolphins, win or lose. And, in this win, there were several players that were worthy of recognition.
The Phinsider Game Ball is a community decision. Each week, I nominate up to five players who could win the award. Then, the Phinsider community votes to award the ball to one player.
This week's nominees are:
- Anthony Fasano, Tight End - 2 Receptions, 9 yards, 1 touchdown
- Karlos Dansby, Linebacker - 12 tackels, 2 tackels for loss
- Cameron Wake, Defensive End - 6 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, 3 QB hits
- Dan Carpenter, Kicker - 2-for-2 field goals, 53 yards long
- Brandon Fields, Punter - 3 punts, 47.3 yards per kick, 1 touchback, 1 inside 20, 55 yard long
The decision on who receives the award is up to you. Vote in the poll below, and feel free to discuss why you selected that player in the comments. We will announce the winner tomorrow.
