An AFC East Review: Week 14

Each week we take a look around at the other AFC East games. Let's take a look to see what the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and New York Jets did.

Jim Rogash

BUFFALO BILLS

The Buffalo Bills took on the St. Louis Rams and would end up losing 15 - 12. This was a game of field goals. The first touchdown didn't come until the 3rd quarter.

Ryan Fitzpatrick went 25/33, 247 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception. Fitzpatrick, in my opinion, is not the Bills franchise quarterback. If I'm the Bills, I'm looking at a first round quarterback in this years draft.

At the running back position, Fred Jackson had 9 carries for 14 yards. Get this, his longest run was 14 yards! Unfortunately, Jackson would leave the game with an injury in the fourth quarter and is now out for the season. C.J. Spiller had 7 carries for 37 yards, not one of his better performances.

Stevie Johnson had 6 receptions for 71 yards. Tight end Scott Chandler had 5 catches for 71 yards. Backup tight end Lee Smith recorded Fitzpatrick's touchdown.

The Bills have a tough game next week by taking on the Seattle Seahawks.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

The New England Patriots took on the Houston Texans last night and demolished them 42 - 14.

Tom Brady had a great game going 21/35 for 296 yards and 4 touchdowns. I thought the Houston defense would have a better showing considering what we did to the Pats.

Steven Ridley ran 18 times for 72 yards and recorded a touchdown. Backup Shane Vereen ran 8 times for 40 yards.

Brandon Lloyd, Donte Stallworth, and Aaron Hernandez all recorded touchdowns. Lloyd had 7 catches for 89 yards, Stallworth had 1 catch which went 63 yards, and Hernandez had 8 catches for 58 yards and recorded 2 touchdowns.

The Patriots take on the San Francisco 49ers next week. This SHOULD be a good game, but I said that about last nights game too.

NEW YORK JETS

The New York Jets took on the Jacksonville Jaguars and won 17 - 10.

After a week of controversy, Rex Ryan decided to start Mark Sanchez. Sanchez did enough to make his team win, 11/19 for 111 yards.

The running backs carried the team. Shonn Greene, the starter, had 20 carries for 77 yards and 1 touchdown. Backup Bilal Powell had 19 carries for 78 yards and 1 touchdown. A good performance from these two.

The Jets leading receiver was Jeff Cumberland who had 1 reception for 37 yards. Jeremy Kerley had 4 receptions for 27 yards.

Want to know how the Jets won? Chad Henne threw a fourth quarter interception...not like we haven't seen that before.

The Jets remain in playoff contention and take on the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football next week.
