The NFL trade deadline has come and gone. The only trade to take place today was the New England Patriots acquisition of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Aqib Talib.

The NFL trade deadline once again limped by with little player movement. Just before the 4pm Eastern deadline, the New England Patriots acquired cornerback Aqib Talib from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Talib is a fifth year pro, and is in the last year of his contract. He is currently serving a four game suspension for violating the NFL's performance enhancing drugs. Talib, who has one game remaining in his suspension, released a statement through the Buccaneers last month the he had used the ADHD drug Alderall.

Talib was the 20th overall pick in the 2008 draft. The Patriots are believed to have sent a mid-round pick to the Buccaneers in return.

The Miami Dolphins still play the Patriots twice this season, with the first game on December 2 in Miami.
