Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas was forced to leave the team's game against the Cincinnati Bengals late in the fourth quarter today with a possible head injury. He was able to walk off the field under his own power.

Thomas was hurt on a short run up the middle, when he was hit helmet-to-helmet by the Cincinnati Bengals' Ray Maualuga. Both players are out of the game and being evaluated.

This is the second player to miss playing time of Miami today with a possible head injury. Dolphins' cornerback Nolan Carroll missed two series in the third quarter after being hit in the head by teammate Karlos Dansby on a tackle. Carroll was cleared of any concussion symptoms and returned to the game.
