The Miami Dolphins came into today's game fairly healthy, with only cornerback Richard Marshall missing the game due to injury. However, early in the second quarter against the New York Jets, the team is seeing the injuries pile up.
Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill had to leave the game in the first quarter, after being sacked. The Dolphins are listing Tannehill's injury as a knee and quad injury, and his return is questionable. He has been replaced by veteran Matt Moore.
On defense, the Dolphins have seen Randy Starks, Karlos Dansby, and Tony McDaniel all suffer injuries. Starks left the game with an apparent leg injury, and was replaced by McDaniel, who was injured a series later, and had to be assisted off the field. Dansby has an elbow injury that has taken him out of the game, with Austin Spitler replacing him.
The Dolphins have not been slowed by the injuries thus far today, taking a 17-0 lead early in the second period.
