Dolphins at Jets Predictions Post

After being gone for a week, thanks to the Miami Dolphins bye week, it's time for our weekly predictions post heading into this afternoon's game. However, on the Phinsider, we don't just predict a winner, but we try to get a little more specific than that. Check out this week's set of predictions.

We are closing in on the Miami Dolphins returning to game play after a week off for their scheduled bye. As the team gets ready to take the field against the New York Jets, it's time for the Phinsider's weekly prediction game.

As you know by now, we don't simply pick a winner, however. We are a little more specific than that. To get an idea of what I mean, here are the predictions from two weeks ago, the Dolphins' win over the St. Louis Rams. We will list each prediction, the correct answer, and anyone who got that prediction correct. Then, whomever has the most correct answers will be declared the winner.

  • How many passes will Ryan Tannehill throw this week? 29; Da Mick and MUHerd84 (Closest with 28)
  • Who will have more rushing yards this week, Reggie Bush or Steven Jackson? Jackson; kdock
  • How many turnovers (interceptions/fumble recoveries) will the Dolphins defense/special teams have this week? One; BSerious72, Paranoid Phin Phan, dolfan52
  • How many sacks will Cameron Wake have this week? One; BSerious72, kdock (Closest with 1.5)
  • Who will win and what will be the final score? (2 Point question) Miami 17-14; BSerions72, Paranoid Phin Phan (Closest with 17-10, Miami)
  • Congratulations to BSerious72 for winning last game's contest with four points. Your prize is....well, having me write "Congratulations to BSerious72 for winning last game's contest with four points."

    Now, this week's questions:

    • Will Brandon Fields' punt average exceed 50 yards per kick?
    • How many offensive snaps will Tim Tebow play?
    • Who will lead the Dolphins in receptions this week?
    • What will be Ryan Tannehill's passer rating this week?
    • Who will win and what will be the final score?

Here is the template to copy and paste into your comment to make answering easier:

Will Brandon Fields exceed 50 yards per punt?

Tim Tebow's offensive snap total will be:
The Dolphins' leading receiver (receptions) will be:
Ryan Tannehill's passer rating will be:
    The final score will be:

Of course, I have to make my predictions as well:

Will Brandon Fields exceed 50 yards per punt? No.

Tim Tebow's offensive snap total will be: 12
The Dolphins' leading receiver (receptions) will be: Davone Bess
Ryan Tannehill's passer rating will be: 102.3
The final score will be: Miami 27-21

    Good luck!
