Saturday Night Random Live Thread Final Week Of Ohio's DCC Push Edition

Ok, here goes...as many of you know our very own Ohiofinfan4life aka Griffin Van Nest is riding in the DCC next weekend. For those of you that are new or not aware the DCC is the Dolphins Cycling Challenge. For a better and more comprehensive explanation of the event here it the description via the DCC website-

Launched in 2010, the Dolphins Cycling Challenge ("DCC") is a two-day tri-county charity cycling event. The purpose of the DCC is to increase cancer awareness, encourage healthy hobbies, and raise funds for the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. In 2011, DCC II raised $1,070,000 for Sylvester, more than doubling the funds raised in the 2010 inaugural ride. The DCC has donated over $1.6 million to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2010.

Rides begin in Miami-Dade at Sun Life Stadium, in Broward at Huizenga Plaza and in Palm Beach at CityPlace through the weekend. Along each route, water stops will be located approximately every 15-20 miles, with food, beverages, entertainment, restroom facilities, medical treatment and mechanical assistance available for riders.

Following DCC III, Cyclists will be honored by the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 25th, 2012 as the team takes on the Seattle Seahawks. The check representing 100% of all rider raised funds will be presented to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in a pregame on-field ceremony on that day.

Griffin will be there not only riding for one of the most worthy cause's there is, the fight against cancer but as a representative of both his home state of Ohio and of course his other family of Dolphins fans here at the Phinsider. We have nearly 10,000 members of the site and thousand's of others that stop in visit the site without ever actually joining (Whats up with that by the way?). In discussions earlier in the year I threw the concept out to Ohio of what if each member here gave at least one dollar? Sounds simple enough right? I mean most everyone has a spare dollar for a worthy cause and to help out a friend. Well as it turns out many of the faithful here were more then happy to throw a dollar and sometimes so much more towards Ohio for his efforts and cause. If you have given in the past then thank you so much for your generosity and if you have not please consider throwing in just a dollar or whatever you have. Every little bit helps. Thanks!
