AFC East Makes Strong Showing in SI.com's Most Overrated Players Poll

Every week, fans and media members alike discuss the overrated players from around the NFL. Sports Illustrated took the debate to the source - the NFL players. And, the AFC East seems to dominate the top ten positions in the 20 player listing.

The Star-Ledger-US PRESSWIRE

SI.com recently asked 180 NFL players to name the most overrated player in the league. They then took those results, and listed the top twenty players from around the league - with the AFC East seeming to dominate the top ten positions.

The most overrated player in the league, according to players themselves, is New York Jets backup quarterback and punt protector Tim Tebow. While that's not overly surprising, maybe the fact that Jets starting quarterback (and not a punt protector) Mark Sanchez coming in as the second most overrated player is.

The Miami Dolphins make their debut on the list with one player, running back Reggie Bush. Bush comes in as the sixth most overrated player in the league.

The AFC East isn't complete after Bush, however. Maybe the most surprising player on the list of the most overrated players is the ninth ranked player - New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Other players to make the list include Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, and Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White.
