An AFC East Review: Week 4

Each week we take a look around at the other AFC East games. Let's take a look to see what the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and New York Jets did.

3 out of the 4 AFC East teams lost. The Patriots were the only team to win and will always be the favorites untill Tom Brady retires. The Jets, Bills, and Patriots are tied for first (2-2), while the Dolphins take up the rear (1-3).

Let's take a look at what the other AFC East teams did this weekend:

BUFFALO BILLS:

The Buffalo Bills took on the New England Patriots this weekend. 24. That's how many points they lost by. The Patriots put up 52 points against the Bills defense. The Bills only scored 28 points.

The Bills started out surprising at the beginning of the season. Fitzpatrick looked average. Yes he threw 4 touchdowns, but he also threw 4 interceptions. Fitz threw for 350 yards. As I've stated before, Fitzpatrick is really inconsistent, in my opinion.

Surprisingly, both C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson were active this week, since both are dealing with injuries. However, they really didn't do anything worthwhile. Spiller ran for 33 yards and Jackson ran for 28 yards. The Bills had to abandon the run game to keep up with the Patriots. But these two make a great pair when healthy.

On the recieving end, the Bills had no one go over a hundred yards. Scott Chandler caught two touchdowns. Brad Smith and Donald Jones also had a touchdown each.

The Bills defense gave up 52 points, do I need to say more?

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS:

Tom Brady does what he always does. Plays great. The Man, The Myth, The Legend, threw for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Surprisingly, the Patriots have been running the ball more. With their young talent at running back, Steven Ridley and Brandon Bolden, the Patriots offense got better. They don't have to rely on Brady's arm to win games. They can rely on their young backs also.

Ridley ran for 106 yards for 2 touchdowns. Bolden ran for 137 yards for 1 touchdown.

Wes Welker caught 9 balls for 129 yards. No touchdown though. Rob Gronkowski continues to be a lethal weapon, 5 catches for 104 yards with 1 touchdown.

The Patriots are always a scary team to face. I'm not looking forward to playing them...ever.

NEW YORK JETS:

After beating the Dolphins in overtime last week, the Jets flopped this weekend. They lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 34 -0.

Mark Sanchez did not look good. 13/29, 103 yards passing, and 1 interception. Fans will soon be chanting "Tebow! Tebow! Tebow!"

The running backs didn't help at all. Shonne Greene ran for 34 yards on 11 carries. Bilal Powell ran for 11 yards on 4 carries.

On the recieving end, Santonio Holmes injured his foot on a non-contact play and let go of the ball allwoing the 49ers Defense to scoop it up for a fumble recovery. There's really not much to say about the recievers, they did not help Sanchez at all.

Current Standings:

Patriots (2-2)
Bills (2-2)
Jets (2-2)
Dolphins (1-3)
