The Miami Dolphins started slowly against the St. Louis Rams, spotting the Rams six points in the first period. However, they came back in the second quarter to claim the lead, taking a 10-6 advantage into halftime.

Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill is 11-for-15 for 108 yards and a touchdown in the first half, giving him a passer rating of 115.4. Rams quarterback Sam BRadford is 11-for-19 for 169 yards, an 87.4 passer rating.

The Miami rushing game has been non-existant today, with Reggie Bush having four carries for four yards. However, the receivers are working on establishing themselves, with Marlon Moore leading with 46 yards on three receptions, to include the touchdown pass from Tannehill, while Davone Bess has the team lead with four receptions, gaining 26 yards. Brian Hartline has not been targeted on the day so far.

The Miami defense, which has not allowed a 100 yard rusher in 19 straight games, and led the league in rush defense coming into the game, has been gouged on the ground early today. Rookie runner Daryl Richardson has five carries for 68 yards while Steven Jackson has 9 carries for 40 yards. Add in two carries for 29 yards from Bradford, and the Rams have already doubled the Dolphins average rushing yards allowed per game this year, with the Rams sitting at 137 yards in the first half.

Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon have each tallied a sack in the half.

Rams rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein, who had hit his first 15 kicks these season, to include the first two today, has now missed two straight field goals.

Of course, the big halftime story is the induction of Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas into the Ring of Honor. A short clip of the two of them being introduced was shown on Fox during their halftime show. Hopefully the full ceremony will be available on MiamiDolphins.com after the game.

Enjoy the third quarter!
