Fantasy Football Sit/Start Advice Week 6: Which Dolphins to Play

Fantasy Football Sit/Start Advice Week 6: Fantasy football advice for Week 5's Miami Dolphins vs St. Louis Rams & around the NFL.

The Dolphins take on the Rams this week which should be primarily a defensive battle. The Rams have a pretty solid defense and one of the youngest, most talented secondaries in the game so it will be tough for Ryan Tannehill and his receivers (mainly the only two that have shown themselves all year) to find alot of room.

NFL's leading receiver, Brian Hartline might have a tough matchup and be brought back down to earth this week. I think his receptions drop a bit, but he may salvage his fantasy production if he catches a long ball for a score. This could be possible, as rookie CB Janoris Jenkins will likely matchup with him, and although he is very talented, he does have the ability to get beat deep.

I look for Miami to rely on Reggie Bush and even some of Lamar Miller if Daniel Thomas cannot go this week. Look for Gaffney to possibly see his first action 2012, but as of now he has no fantasy value. Look for Hartline and Bess, in that order, if you are hurting for receivers and need a possible flex/bye week replacement option.

As for the Rams, Steven Jackson will likely have trouble getting going against Miami so look for Bradford to take to the air. Unfortunately for him, his main target in Danny Amendola is out. Bradford has a slew of no-named guys, however BEWARE some of these guys are talented and looking for an opportunity. One name in particular is rookie Chris Givens, so look for Miami to work hard not to let this speedster burn them for a big play like he did to Arizona last week.

Like I mentioned, this may be a low scoring affair so if you are in an individual player league (IDP) like I am, this would be a great game to put in all your big names. Cameron Wake, Karlos Dansby, Sean Smith, Reshad Jones and Randy Starks could have big days. For the Rams, look for Chris Long, James Laurinitus, Janoris Jenkins and JoLynn Dunbar.
