Nine days ago, we looked at the possibility of the Miami Dolphins selecting former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor in the NFL Supplemental Draft. Since then, the NFL has postponed the draft, and investigated if Pryor should be eligible for the supplemental draft.
Today, they announced that he is - with the caveat of a 5 game suspension to start the season. And that the Supplemental Draft is back on the schedule, now taking place on Monday, August 22.
Which brings us back to our discussion of Pryor. In the poll attached to the previous article, we had 1,832 responses, splitting almost perfectly even. With 944 votes for Miami taking the quarterback prospect, 51% of the Phinsider readers felt his addition could help the franchise.
On the other hand, 888 of you felt like he wasn't worth the draft pick his selection would cost.
As was in the previous post:Pryor threw for 6177 yards, 57 touchdowns, and 26 interceptions in his three years at Ohio State. But, he is best remembered for the scandal involving trading memorabilia for tattoos. The infraction eventually led to several members of the Buckeyes, to include Pryor, to be suspended for the first 5 games of 2011, and the resignation of head coach Jim Tressel.
So, have our feelings changed over the last nine days? Would more people stay away from Pryor because of the 5 game suspension? Vote below and comment what you are thinking.
