The #8 Miami Dolphins Draft Bust of All Time is...
Eddie Moore, who was a 2003 2nd round pick, 49th overall.
Dolphin fans were up in arms when an offense-needy team reached big time to select this Tennessee linebacker. Moore didn't even get on the field in any games during his rookie season - an obvious sign of a draft bust when you are talking about a second round pick.
When all was said and done, Moore spent three seasons in the league with the Dolphins, saw action in just 18 games (4 starts) and recorded 35 tackles.
I don't even need to point out that a team starving for wide receivers could have had South Florida native Anquan Boldin, who was selected five picks later. But how about some others the Dolphins could have selected with this pick: Osi Umenyiora, Jason Witten, and Asante Samuel.
Years later, this one still stings - mainly because I was so sure Boldin was about to become a Miami Dolphin when he was still available and the Dolphins were on the clock.
