2011 NFL Draft: Day Three
April 30, 2011
12:00 pm EST
Radio City Music Hall, New York, NY

Though I'm not as angry as some over how the Miami Dolphins drafted through the first three rounds, I can't say I'm overly pleased. The best way to describe me is probably as being "indifferent." There's nothing here to get excited about.

This is a team that lacks excitement; that lacks buzz. The owner wanted to bring excitement back to Miami.

So what do Jeff Ireland and Tony Sparano do? They proceed to draft an interior lineman and a slow running back through the first two days of the draft.

I'm being a little over-dramatic here - that I will admit. Many, including Mike Mayock, like Daniel Thomas. I've read comparisons to Michael Turner and to Steven Jackson. But when I look at Thomas, I see a younger (and slightly slower) Ronnie Brown - which probably doesn't excite many Dolphin fans out there.

But now it's day three. It's time for that infusion of speed into the offense. That is, unless Ireland admitting he wanted to add speed offensively was nothing more than a smoke screen. At this point, it's sure looking that way.

Here's to finding some gems this afternoon!
