Miami Dolphins Top 10 Best Draft Picks: #10 Jim Kiick

New, comments

Having gotten the ugliness that is the Dolphins "top ten draft busts" series out of the way, it's time to bring some positive energy to this. With the draft less than two weeks away, we could use all of the positive karma we can get.

So it's time to run through the top ten best draft picks in Miami Dolphins franchise history.

And we start it off with the 10th best Miami Dolphins draft pick of all time...

Jim Kiick, who was a 1968 5th round pick, 118th overall.

One of the best, if not the best, all purpose running backs in team history, Kiick was a two time Pro Bowler as a member of the Dolphins. He totaled over 1,000 yards from scrimmage in all of his first four seasons before seeing his role in the offense decrease a bit in '72.

Kiick currently ranks fifth in team history with 3,644 career rushing yards - which isn't too bad for the 118th player selected.

I'm sure some of the more elder Dolphin fans can share with you more thoughts on Kiick, who was a fan favorite during his seven seasons in Miami.
