Miami Dolphins Community Draft Board: Running back

New, comments

In our first "community draft board" poll last week - which featured the quarterbacks available in the draft - we had some surprising results. If you missed Friday's story that highlighted the results, Blaine Gabbert finished first. The surprising part was spots two through four in the rankings. Ryan Mallett was the second-rated quarterback, followed by Christian Ponder and Cam Newton. Colin Kaepernick rounded out the top five in the rankings.

Again, full results can be found here.

Today we move from a position that we think the Dolphins will address in the draft to a position we know the Dolphins will address in the draft. I'm well aware that this regime is far from predictable when it comes to draft plans. But with Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, and Patrick Cobbs all unrestricted free agents (whenever free agency finally begins), the Dolphins only have two halfbacks on the roster - and one of them is coming off of a season-long Achilles' injury.

The question really isn't if the Dolphins will draft a running back. Rather, it's how many they will draft and what round will the selection(s) be made.

And with that thought in mind, it's time to get to the voting. Below are my top 20 draft-eligible running backs. You will vote on how you would rank them from 1 to 5. We will then do this once more to rank the remaining 15 after the top five are determined.

The ballot is below...
