It's Monday Night, and it's time for Monday Night Football, with the San Diego Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars this week. A game between two severely underachieving teams is exactly what ESPN must have wanted on their prime-time slot.
The Jaguars just fired Jack Del Rio, and are now using Mel Tucker, their defensive coordinator, as the "interim head coach." The team was also just sold to an Illinois businessman. Other than Maurice Jones-Drew doing what MJD does, that's about the highlights for the Jaguars.
Meanwhile, it's anything but a bed of roses in San Diego. Head coach Norv Turner is most likely the next head coach to get the axe in the NFL. Quarterback Phillip Rivers is struggling, throwing way too may interceptions, and the Chargers are on a 6-game losing streak - sitting in the basement of the AFC West.
Let's just hope they can both find a way to play a decent football game tonight.
