Miami Dolphins Rule Out Reggie Bush, Daniel Thomas to Start

The Miami Dolphins have ruled starting running back Reggie Bush out for this week's season finale against the New York Jets. Rookie running back Daniel Thomas is expected to make the start for the ailing Bush, who injured his knee near the end of last week's game against the New England Patriots.

Bush, who surpassed the 1,000 yard rushing plateau for the first time in his career this season, has had a resurgence this year, serving as the Dolphins' primary running back after his first five years in the league, when he served primarily as the third-down back for the New Orleans Saints.

The Dolphins will attempt to end the slim playoff chances of the Jets, who need a win, and several teams to lose in order to make it into the post season. Without Bush, the job of beating the Jets just became a little tougher for Miami.
