The Florida State Seminoles and Notre Dame Fighting Irish clash in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando tonight. The two teams played in a "Game of the Century" matchup back in 1993 - a game with the fanfare of the #1 LSU at #2 Alabama game from earlier this year. In the 1993 version, #2 Notre Dame beat #1 FSU 31-24 in South Bend, Indiana. After that game, Notre Dame took over the top spot for a week before losing to Boston College, then setting at #3 as Florida State rebounded to take the National Championship.

This year, an 8-4 Florida State team comes in to the game ranked #25, while Notre Dame, also 8-4 is unranked. Both teams are looking to return to the dominance they once enjoyed. And, with a win tonight, may be better positioned to make that journey.

Enjoy!
