Miami Dolphins Waive Kicker Shayne Graham

The Miami Dolphins on Wednesday waived kicker Shayne Graham, who has served in a fill-in-role with the Dolphins for the last two weeks. The move signals that starting kicker Dan Carpenter, who has been sidelined with a groin injury, is healthy and ready to return.

"He's done a good job, he really has," head coach Tony Sparano said of Graham. "The game the other day he kicked several field goals. I think at times you want to talk about maybe the one that was missed but I'd rather talk about the ones that he makes. I think that the guy has done a good job. His kickoffs I thought he's done a pretty good job right now as of late with the kickoffs. Credit to the coverage team. They've done a good job of covering some of those."

Graham was 4-out-of-5 on field goals during the last two weeks.

Miami also signed defensive tackle Ryan Baker, who was with the team earlier in the year, and guard Ray Feinga, who has been on the Dolphins practice squad most of the year. The team waived defensive tackle Igor Olshansky.
