Redskins at Dolphins Rapid Reactions - Miami Moves to 2-7 With Win Over Washington

The Miami Dolphins won their second straight game of the 2011 season, this time putting away the Washington Redskins 20-9.  The win, besides officially starting a winning streak for the Dolphins, marked the team's first home win in 364 days.

The Dolphins relied on Reggie Bush to find the endzone today, and., although he only ran for 47 yards on 14 carries, he was able to find pay dirt twice.  Those two scores, along with Dan Carpenter's two field goals, were enough to overcome the Rex Grossman led Redskins.

The Miami defense was able to step up today too, picking off Grossman, who was only named the starter yesterday, twice.  The first pick was a good Grossman throw, but went straight to Vontae Davis when the Redskins wide receiver fell trying to make a cut.  Karlos Dansby grabbed the second interception late in the game.

Dansby had an all around solid game, picking up a sack, the interception, a game-high 10 tackles, 2 passes defensed, and 1 more quarterback hit.

While the game left a lot to be desired - especially when you look at the rushing attack that got no where against a poor run defense - the fact that the Dolphins are starting to put the pieces together is encouraging heading into next week's AFC East match up with the Buffalo Bills in Miami.

Look for a full recap of the game tomorrow morning, and use this thread as a post game celebration / late game live thread.  A Sunday night thread will be posted tonight.
