The Phinsider Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

Yep, the Packers are holding up the Power Rankings belt for yet another week.
Yep, the Packers are holding up the Power Rankings belt for yet another week.

Another week, and Green Bay still resides atop the Phinsider Power Rankings.  Nothing seems to be able to phase this team, and, by now, not even a loss will make them lose this position.

We didn't get a guest power ranker this week, so it's just the four contributors ranking everyone.  However, if you would like a chance to rank the 32 teams for next week, all you have to do is leave a comment below.  I will then randomly select someone and send an email to them.  After that, all you have to do is send me your list of all 32 teams in your power ranking order.

This week, we did not see as dramatic of changes as some of the previous week.  Pittsburgh made the biggest jump, going from 10th last week to 5th this week.

Meanwhile, Washington fell from 16th to 22nd, a 6 position drop.

The by division break down is listed at the bottom of the power rankings.

Continue to look great on offense and terrible on defense. Perhaps that catches up to them this week against the Steelers. (TCP)

Niners come out of their bye with games against Cleveland and Washington. Did anyone have SF potentially sitting with a 7-1 record at season's midpoint? (Matty)

You know your opponent is bad when 62 points isn't a big story (Mosul)

Steelers

The defense appears to be getting warmed up, but offensive line problems could be the downfall of the Steelers this season. Ben Roethlisberger looks miserable right now. (kmb)

5

Lions

Back-to-back losses, no depth at running back, and now some injuries, too. Lions look like a fringe playoff team right now (kmb)

Super Bowl contenders aren't supposed to put up only seven points in Jacksonville (kmb)

Only two good teams SD has played they've lost to. Next up are Chiefs, Packers, Raiders, and Bears. We'll learn a lot about this team over next month. (Matty)

The Giants hold the first spot in the NFC East but now head in to the tough part of their schedule. (TCP)

12

7

Raiders

11

14

This team needs Carson Palmer to get in sync with new team in a hurry before it's too late. (Matty)

13

17

Bears

13

13

13

11

The Bears are getting outstanding contributions from Jay Cutler and Matt Forte this season, but what's up with the second-half coaching missteps? (kmb)

14

14

Bengals

14

15

14

13

Andy Dalton and A.J. Green are the real deal, and so is the Bengals' defense. (kmb)

15

11

Buccaneers

16

17

15

15

Still a young team, trying to figure it out. Hopefully Josh Freeman can figure out what color jersey he is wearing.(Mosul)

16

18

Falcons

17

16

That sound you heard was the collective exhale of every Falcons fan when Matt Ryan came back out after injurying his knee. (Mosul)

17

19

Cowboys

18

18

10

18

Looked good running wild for almost 300 yards rushing last week against possibly the worst team in the NFL.  (TCP)

18

20

Jets

17

14

19

17

Will spend their off week trying to fix the run D before facing the Bills who will look to run all over the Jets.  (TCP)

19

15

Titans

19

19

22

20

I'm going to go with, they felt sorry for the Texans who have never made the playoffs.  Rolled over and died for them this week (Mosul)

20

21

Eagles

21

20

18

22

Still have a ton of talent but are running out of time to turn things around and save this season. (TCP)

21

25

Chiefs

20

21

20

21

Don't look now, but the Chiefs are on a roll with a big game at home on Monday night vs SD up next. (Matty)

22

16

Redskins

22

23

21

19

After starting out hot injury's are starting to take its toll on this team with no set QB.  (TCP)

23

23

Panthers

24

22

23

24

A great rookie QB is one thing, but when that's really your entire team, the speed of the game will finally takes its toll - and things could get ugly. (Mosul)

24

24

Browns

23

24

26

23

Cleveland's 6-3 victory in Seattle might have been the worst NFL game I've ever watched. (kmb)

25

29

Jaguars

26

25

24

27

Stuck it to the Ravens on Monday night.  They should be a better team than they are, but they aren't that good. (Mosul)

26

28

Broncos

27

26

25

26

That sure was one hell of a 3 minute span for Denver last week. But next five games (DET, OAK, KC, NYJ, SD) will put an end to this Tebow-mania. (Matty)

27

22

Seahawks

25

28

28

25

When you hold a team to just two 50 yard field goals and still lose, it's hard to find any hope in the near future. (Matty)

28

26

Vikings

28

27

27

28

At least the Vikings now know Brian Robison can punt if anything happens to Chris Kluwe. (kmb)

29

27

Cardinals

29

29

29

29

Ken Whisenhunt is another coach whose job is clearly not safe. (Matty)

30

31

Rams

30

30

32

31

At what point is Steve Spagnuolo officially on the hot seat? Injuries can only be an excuse for so long. (Matty)

31

32

Dolphins

31

32

31

30

Time to start planning for the future. Good luck with your next job Tony!  (TCP)

Colts

After losing 62-7, Jeff Saturday admitted the Colts were outcoached.  Then got upset at SB Nation blog Stampede Blue for saying, Saturday admitted the Colts were outcoached.  Good thing that's all they have to worry about in Indy. (Mosul)
