Sunday Morning Bloody Mary: Wild Card Weekend Thread, Part 2

If today's games are anywhere near as good as yesterday's, we are in for a treat.

I was 0 for 2 yesterday with my picks. But I'll still try my hand at this afternoon's two games. After all, the only way I can go after yesterday's performance is up.

Chiefs vs Ravens, 1:00 pm, CBS

Kansas City hosts their first playoff game since 2003 and is in search of their first postseason win since the 1993 season - when they reached the AFC Championship game only to lose in Buffalo. And while I'll be rooting for KC to knock off the Ravens, it's not going to be easy. The Ravens are well balanced on offense and still possess a top ten defense. I'm concerned about KC's 14th ranked rushing defense and their ability to contain Ray Rice...from Rutgers! On the flip side, KC's rushing offense - led by Jamaal Charles and his ridiculous 6.4 yards-per-carry average - will likely have a tough go against Baltimore's 5th ranked rushing defense. That means Matt Cassel will have to have a big game. And I don't trust him, to be honest.

Pick: Ravens 23-20

Eagles vs Packers, 4:30 pm, FOX

This game should be entertaining. Two explosive offenses will be on display. Two talented and athletic quarterbacks throwing to some of the most electrifying receivers in the NFC. This is going to be fun. In the end, though, this game will come down to defense - as in which defense will step up to the challenge. The Packers have more play-makers on defense - which I believe gives them the edge.

Pick: Packers 31-26
