Fantasy Football: The Extra Point Poll

Austin Schindel, XFINIFTY Sports Guy, returns this week to get us fantasy ready for the NFL's Week 7 slate of games. Each week, Schindel asks several NFL blogs for their choice in a fantasy football comparison. After the week's games, XFINITY takes a look at each of the blogs' community results, to determine the standings among the blogs. At the end of the season, whichever blog has the best record in these questions will win a donation to the charity of their choice.

As we prepare for another weekend of NFL action, let’s recap the top NFL Twitter headlines from this past week.

#NFLRedZone: The channel went triple box & showed Feely missing a GW FG, Sidney Rice catching a GW TD, and @RGIII running for 76-yard TD.

#Manning led @Denver_Broncos back from a 24-0 halftime deficit. #Broncos outscoring opponents 79-3 in the fourth quarter this season.

@Atlanta_Falcons only unbeaten team remaining at 6-0. They win an ugly game, but that's what good teams do, they #RiseUp.

Last week’s question involved a running back head to head contest between the RaidersDarren McFadden and the CowboysDeMarco Murray. McFadden took the rock 27 times for 70 yards and reached the end zone once for the Raiders in their close loss to the undefeated Falcons. On the other hand, Murray ran 14 times for 93 yards against the injury depleted Baltimore Ravens defense. He did not score a touchdown and left the game with a foot injury himself, but can take credit of winning the battle of The Extra Point Poll presented by XFINITY.

In this week's edition of The Extra Point Poll presented by XFINITY, we feature a matchup of two wide receivers that will be competing in primetime on Monday night: Calvin Johnson vs. Brandon Marshall. Johnson has been a bit of a disappointment this season as he has scored just one touchdown, but is ninth in the NFL in receptions with 35 and fourth in yards with 558. Marshall is currently tied with Johnson with 35 receptions, and is 10th with 496 yards receiving, but has scored three touchdowns thus far. The Lions offense will face Brian Urlacher and the rest of the Bears defense that has intercepted 13 passes this season and scored five touchdowns, so Johnson will have to work hard to find open space. On the flip side, Brandon Marshall will be facing a Lions defense that is riding momentum from the big win last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. It should be a close contest between Johnson and Marshall to see which player and team comes out on top.

Which wide receiver will have more RedZone receiving yards in Week 7: Calvin Johnson or Brandon Marshall? Vote now in the poll below. And remember to tweet me all week long @XFINITYSports as I give fantasy tips and keep you posted on the latest NFL developments via social media.

Good luck!
