According to a tweet by the Miami Herald's Mike Bernardino, Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano stated that the Florida Highway Patrol has closed the case against second year wide receiver Brian Hartline, with no charges being filed.
Apparently, Hartline finally spoke with the authorities, at which time he was issued a citation, paid a fine, and the matter has been "put to bed."
So far, no details are available regarding the conversation he had with police investigators, but it looks like Hartline won't be in hot water for fleeing the scene of an accident after all.
