Dolphins vs Colts: Prediction Time!

Saturdays during the season means one thing - picks.  Below are a random sampling of "expert" picks.  Also, I will include my three NFL "locks" at the end of these posts each week.  If you want, feel free to do the same in the comments.

Chris Mortensen - Mia Adam Schefter - Ind Tom Jackson - Ind
Mike Ditka - Mia Pete Prisco - Mia Harmon Forecast - Ind
PFT - Mia Peter King - Ind Jason Cole - Ind
Brian Baldinger - Mia Sterling Sharpe - Ind Joe Theismann - Mia

You have to be surprised at how many "experts" are actually picking the Dolphins to win.  I really thought we'd see 90% of these guys take the Colts - the safer bet.  If anything, I think this shows just how far the Dolphins have come under Tony Sparano.

My take?  I think the Dolphins will be able to run the football effectively on Indianapolis.  And if that is the case, they will have every opportunity to win the game.  I see a tight game into the fourth quarter, at which time the Dolphins really begin to pick up chunks of yardage on the ground due to a tired, worn down Indy defense.

Dolphins win 23-21.

My Week 2 Locks
Patriots -5.5 over Jets: Sorry, but I'm not buying the Jets as a good team.  Their defense will not play nearly as well on Sunday and the Pats will pull away in the second half.
Saints +1.5 over Eagles: Without Donovan McNabb, the Eagles will not be able to score enough to keep up with Drew Brees and company.
Titans -6.5 over Texans: If Houston couldn't move the ball against the Jets, they will probably struggle against the Titans in Tennessee.  Look for Chris Johnson and LenDale White to have big games running the ball.
